CHEBOYGAN — The Cheboygan County Sheriff’s Office and local emergency services are addressing road clearing and restoration efforts following recent severe weather in Northern Michigan.

According to an April 3 news release, the Cheboygan County Sheriff’s Office, Office of Emergency Management, in collaboration with local emergency services, the Cheboygan County Road Commission and private partners, is actively working to address the challenges posed by the recent inclement weather system that rolled through Northern Michigan yesterday.

Due to the adverse conditions, clearing efforts have been hampered. However, crews are optimistic that today’s weather forecast looks promising and allows them to make progress in clearing roads and restoring normalcy.

In addition, a shipment of bottled water has arrived in Cheboygan County. The county is currently in the process of establishing pickup locations for residents and kindly ask for understanding as supplies are limited, and staff will do their best to ensure everyone receives these vital resources.
