A big contribution from Rotary Charities of Traverse City.
On Tuesday, they announced the six recipients of their fall grants.
These include the Bay Theater in Suttons Bay, Botanic Gardens at Historic Barns Park, Traverse City Area Public Schools and more.
The total amount of grant money given out Tuesday was $371,500.
To date, Rotary Charities has granted $65 million to many organizations in northern Michigan.
“We’re so honored to steward these resources that demonstrate our commitment to building communities that are adaptive and thriving for everyone,” said Sakura Takano of Rotary Charities of Traverse City.
“Our assets are for thriving communities grants for initiative that develop, strengthen or build community assets that are available to all,” said Kristin Hettich, also of Rotary Charities of Traverse City.
The full list of grant recipients and the amounts they were awarded can be found below:
- Bay Theater – $50,000
- Botanic Gardens at Historic Barns Park – $50,000
- TCAPS – $150,000
- Good Samaritan Family Services – $21,500
- Justice For Our Neighbors – $50,000
- Kalkaska DDA – $50,000
