Michigan State Police say they are investigating the death of Abby Hill in Alpena County as a homicide.
Hill had been reported as missing and possibly in danger since Oct. 4 and was wanted in connection with a kidnapping investigation. Her remains were found in a wooded area in Alpena Township the afternoon of Oct. 15.
Investigators haven’t said whether Hill was connected to Brynn Bills, the 18-year-old who went missing in August and was found buried in the yard of an Alpena home earlier this month.
Court documents listed Hill as a witness in a case involving Joshua Wirgau and Brad Srebnik.
State Troopers found the body of 18-year-old Brynn Bills several weeks ago at Wirgau’s home.
The two men were arrested and are currently in custody on charges unrelated to the Bills’ death.
State Police expect to release more information later this week.
