Apparent Ride Malfunction Endangers Riders At National Cherry Festival

A scary moment last night at the National Cherry Festival in Traverse City.

Information is limited right now, but a ride appears to have malfunctioned.

In video taken by witnesses, it seems that the power was cut in an attempt to stop the ride after it started tipping back and forth.

People at the festival ran over and stood on one end of the ride to keep it from tipping over.

9&10 News has reached out but have not heard from the National Cherry Festival or Arnold Amusements.
