Students with Traverse City Area Public Schools celebrated Stone Soup Day and talked about the meaning  behind the historic parable. TCAPS Montessori at Glen Loomis hosts the day and invites people to come and read different versions of “Stone Soup” to the kids.

The students used the vegetables from their school gardens to prepare the soup and talked about working together as a team to achieve their goals.  They then meet in the school gardens area and each added a different vegetable to the soup.  TLC Farms Hydroponics from Suttons Bay in Leelanau County was also on hand providing fresh vegetables and helping the students create their soup.
