The investigation into a 3 year old murder case has dive teams searching for new evidence today.
Police started their search early this morning at a pond in Marion, in Osceola County.
Detectives at the Michigan State Police Post in Reed City hope the new evidence could help to find those responsible for the murder of Nicholas Beebe; who was shot and killed back in May 2006.
Beebe and his girlfriend were asleep in their home on 19 Mile Road, West of Marion, when she heard a loud noise and found him dead.
9&10's Chivon Kloepfer and Photo Journalist Stephanie Adkins have more on the continued search for evidence.
My son has missed three years of trout fishing, mushrooming, dear hunting, and most of all spending time with his brothers. He was a young boy with a kind heart. My son did not deserve to be murdered. I believe that everybody has a conscience and it gets to them sooner or later. I will not give up until justice is served. I miss his smile, laughter, jokes, but most of all I miss him. Through this tradegy, I have learned that you find out who your friends are. I love my sons and I will do anything for them. That is what moms are for.
My son has missed spending time with his brothers, trout fishing, mushrooming and deer camp for three years. He did not deserve to be murdered. He was a young man with a kind heart. There is not a day that goes by that I do not think about him. I miss his smile, laugh and most of all, I miss him. I will not give up until justice is served. I believe that all people have a conscience deep down and sooner or later it will finally get to them. One thing that I have learned through this tradgey is that you do find out who your true friends are.
Nick and I were close friends. I've waited a long time for justice. His family still plays a large roll in my life and I want nothing more than for them to be able to put their minds at ease.
