RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Republican Bob McDonnell has easily won the Virginia governor's race. Unofficial results show the former attorney general defeating Creigh (kree) Deeds and returning a Republican to the governor's office for the first time in eight years.
TRENTON, N.J. (AP) — An Associated Press exit poll shows the New Jersey governor's race between Republican Chris Christie and incumbent Democrat Jon Corzine is too close to call. Voters said their top concerns were the economy and jobs, followed by property taxes. DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) — Police say three missing North Dakota college softball players have been found dead in their vehicle. The Jeep was pulled from a pond northwest of Dickinson. Police say they're "still investigating" the cause of the deaths. Authorities had been searching for them since Sunday night. WASHINGTON (AP) — The White House says detainees at Guantanamo aren't yet receiving vaccinations against swine flu. Spokesman Robert Gibbs says no vaccines are at the naval base and none are on the way. Critics objected to suspected terrorists being vaccinated while Americans are still waiting. SEATTLE (AP) — T-Mobile subscribers are having problems sending text messages and receiving phone calls. It's not known how widespread the service outage is or what caused it. T-Mobile's Twitter account says the company is aware of the disruption and has sent teams out to fix it.
