More bodies found...Voters deciding...Disney teams with environmentalists

CLEVELAND (AP) — Authorities in Cleveland say four more bodies and a skull have been recovered from the home of a convicted rapist where police had already found six bodies. The four bodies were found in the backyard of convicted rapist Anthony Sowell, the skull in the basement. Sowell has been charged with five counts of aggravated murder, along with charges of rape, felonious assault and kidnapping.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Voters have been going to the polls today to select governors in Virginia and New Jersey. And there are mayoral elections in a slew of cities including New York and Atlanta. In Maine, voters are deciding if a law approving same-sex marriage should be repealed or affirmed.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The House has passed a resolution that condemns a U.N. report that accuses Israeli forces and Palestinian militants of war crimes in Gaza last winter. Palestinian rocket attacks and the Israeli incursion killed 13 Israelis and 1,400 Palestinians, many of them civilians. Thirty-six lawmakers voted against the resolution, 22 voted present.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A federal judge in Boise, Idaho, has sentenced three men to prison for beating a black man. Two were charged with hate crimes, the third with conspiracy. The attack happened outside a Wal-Mart in suburban Boise on the Fourth of July, 2008.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Walt Disney Co. is joining the fight against climate change. Disney is spending $7 million in partnership with three conservation groups to help protect tens of thousands of acres of forests lands in the Congo basin, the Amazon basin and in two regions of the United States.
