A new program is giving those in need a warm meal and a place to stay in Mason County.

The organization "Hospitality In The Name Of Christ" started a rotating shelter this week in Ludington. More than a dozen churches have stepped up to offer their facility for a week at a time. The shelter will run for at least 22 weeks.

With economic hardships and the temperature dropping, organizers noticed a growing need. Hospitality Inc. is hoping more churches come on board so they can extend the program. They are also looking for volunteers to help out at the rotating shelter.
