Several Northern Michigan hospitals are restricting visitors because of the flu.
Mercy Hospital in Cadillac is no longer allowing visitors age 16 and younger. They also ask that people with flu-like symptoms do not visit patients. Other hospitals restricting visitors age 18 and under are: Otsego Memorial Hospital Westshore Medical Center Munson Medical Center Cheboygan Memorial Hospital Northern Michigan Regional Hospital It's important to note that the restrictions are only for visitors, not for anyone who needs to see a doctor. Hospitals say the restrictions in place to protect patients, their families and staff. |
