My message is for the idiot named Daniel that posted his uneducated comment on 1/28. Maybe if Daniel had a job, he would be paying less attention to the officers that have probably arrested him. Make a living Daniel instead of being a kindergarten cop. Daniel needs to realize the real tragedy in this case instead of criticizing the officers that may have let him go a time or two.
My heartfelt love and prayers go to you Leslie, Wyatt, Becki and Mike. Take comfort in prayer and know that I am always with you in spirit. Mike was a blessing to my life and I adored him. He is safe in God's hands now - I hope you find comfort in that. I love you all. Please call if you need me. (((hugs)))
every needs to stop placing blame on the troopers. there is a reason this is called an accident. no one intended something bad to happen. If they could go back and change things would they? I'm sure they would. I'm sure they would have turned their lights on if it would have saved Mike's life. thats not the case. no one can go back in time. no one can change the things that happened. & no one is responsible. it is no ones fault. stop placing blame of the troopers.
How sad that there are some that are so quick to place blame in a time that is so hard for so many. Everyone looks for someone to blame but shame on you to jump to conclusions. Placing "blame" isn't going to change the situation or make anyone better. My thoughts and prayers to the family of Mike Jago as well as Chris and Dons families. This is a time when everyone needs to pull together and support each other. Thats the beauty of a small community.
Come on. Grow up and look at this the way it is. An unfortunate accident. Putting the blame on two outstanding Troopers is just plain child-ish. These men put their lives on the line EVERY time they put their uniform on. You never hear them complaining. Let Mikee rest in peace. He was an OUTSTANDING person. Good to his family and good to his friends. Lets also hope that the County see's this as a lesson, that maybe these rural intersections should be cleared off and not used as a way to cut the budget. I have personnally seen 3 - 4 intersections that have dangerously high snow banks. May God Bless ALL the families and friends involved by this tragedy.
Common sense could have saved a life...I have the ultimate respect for law enforcement...but when turning off your lights and sirens for tactical advantage, you shouldn't be doing 90 mph...
My family and I and another family faced this same thing not too many years ago. Is is hard to get through, and we know very personally that it is very easy for ppl to point fingers....I hurt for everyone who knew and loved mike...something like this is not easy. No matter the circumstances these officers have to live with this for the rest of our lives. I appreciate everything that Mike, his family, and the officers stood for and will continue to stand for. We have to remember that tragidy happens and all we can do is to be there for each other.
I was blessed to have met Mike ,(took fire class with him), great guy, aweaome spirit!! He will be missed. To all families... Prayer will get you through this.
Although we may never know all the facts one thing is certain, this accident involved a very high rate of speed.I feel sorry for all involved, but someone should be held accountable for mike's death. It is not uncommon for state police in this area to drive unreasonable fast without lights and sirens. There are rare occasions when an officer should run without lights and sirens, but in that event speeds should be drastically reduced.
May God bless each and everyone of youwho lost their Son Brother Uncle and which ever one he was to you. God be with your families. God Bless the officers and their families during this tragic accident.
NOTHING CAN EXPRESS WHAT AN ACCIDENT CAN BRING ONTO THE PEOPLE ENVOLVED TIME CANNOT ERASE THE PAINE YET IN TIME WE CAN COME TO TERMS AND DEAL WITH IT MAY GOD BE WITH YOU ALL
Mikey's spirit will carry on forever. I always looked forward to his spontaneous visits, now he can visit, reach out, and send his love to everybody at the same time.. talk to him every day and you'll feel his spirit and huge heart. I think of your family often and my thoughts and prayers are with everybody involved. Mikey inspired a lot of people and I hope we can all share his story. he deserves it.
Within these three men were sons, brothers, fathers, husbands, co-workers and, friends. They each have starred in stories of hope, joy, comedy, triumph and sorrow. Unfortunately, today it is sorrow... for three families and an entire community. May God go with all of you and may peace and kindness be your companions. Praying hard for all of you and hugging Becky and Mike close in my heart.
jago jr. was a great friend infact he was in my squad. his death saddens me. i wish i could of helpd him. sorry for your loss and may the troopers recover to
those who point fingers please understand that those officers are friends of our family (the jago's) and they both new mikey, they would do nothing to hurt him. i pray for the family's and of the troops full recovery.
Hang in there guys!! You families need you and deserve nothing less then the best!!
our son was killed in a vehicle accident-to all family members in both parties, it will be a long journey. remember small baby steps. memories are all we have. there is a higher love.warm sunshine upon your backs
My love and prayers are with the families of all three men. Please lets not point fingers and blame. Accidents are a part of life, and this one is especially tragic.
people need to stop trying to place blame.None of us know what really happened and may never know. It is bad enough that a young man died and 2 others are messed up badly. This was just a tragic accident and prayers go out to all involved. Stop blaming one or the other I am sure no one involved expected this outcome.

I am so saddened to hear of all this tragedy. It isn't easy for ANY involved and I pray that each one will find peace in whatever way they can. Prayers and sympathy to those involved....those gone and those left to carry on.
I am sorry to hear of this horrible tragedy in my hometown. My prayers are with everyone. No words can ever express how tough this must be for the families. They all need the small town of Newberry's love, support & prayers.
Prayers are with the Jago Family, the Troopers, and thier familys as well. Accidents happen. Making any negative remarks at this time is innappropriate. The last thing any Officer wants to do is hurt anyone. Everyone please take a minute and say a prayer for all familys involved.
It is always easy to slam Law Enforcement when you look from the outside in. Trying doing their jobs. They have the worst of the worst to deal with. Please respect all individual families rather then pointing blame. Remember at some point in your life you may need a man or woman in a uniform to help one of your loved ones or your self!
Not knowing any of the families involved, but can only imagine the grief that they are all feeling. My heart & prayers go out to the Jago Family & my thoughts & well wishes go to the Tpr's for a speedy recovery in body & mind. This tragic accident will surely take its toll on all involved.
My Uncle was one of the officers in that accident and I just wanted to say thank you for all the support and caring that everyone is showing, it is very helpful as the family sits in the hospital waiting to hear the outcome. Thank you and God bless.
I find it interesting how quick people criticize the police. Police often shut down lights and sirens a mile or two away from some calls to help give them a tactical advantage. Otherwise they could sitting ducks upon arriving on scene. So yes they may of passed in a quick manner, Maybe to render assistance to one of your family members or friends.
Before we start pointing fingers lets remember our main concern At the monment, all the families involved in this tragic incident. My god bless them all......and please no more cheap shots
I am so sorry to all of your family and miss each and everyone of you.... Let me know if there is anything I can do to help through this difficult time. You all are in my prayers and thinking of you. God bless Mike. Live just is not fair. He will be in my thoughts for ever.....
My prayers go out to the Jago Family. No words can express what you are going through in your time of loss. Donnie....know that us Carrick's are praying for you and your partners speed recovery. Take care and God Bless
My thoughts and prayers go out to all involved. Regardless of the circumstances this is a horrific time for the familys of all involved. May God be with all of you!
This is not a shock. Can't believe it hasn't happen before. The Police in this town fly by us quit often @ 100plus with no lights or sirens The laws don't seem to apply to them at all. They are seen always rolling stop signs, when they are just cruising around. My sorrow goes out to the Jago's,May God bless them.
Our small community is in mourning. Our prayers are with all of the family. Our prayers are with the 2 Troopers too as I'm sure this has hit them hard.
