Earlier this month, the state of Michigan announced a more than $2 billion battery plant will be coming to the Big Rapids.
This project will create about 2,500 jobs in the Big Rapids area.
It’s also going to be powered with a 100% clean, renewable energy.
Andrea Ludema sat down with Josh Paciorek from Consumers Energy to talk about their role in bringing this plant to Northern Michigan.
